This article is to troubleshoot issues with the Adobe Creative Cloud application.
Overview
Adobe strongly recommends that you do not uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app. However, in certain scenarios like a corrupted Creative Cloud desktop app, or problems installing some Creative Cloud apps, you can uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Reasons you may want to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud:
- You may receive the following error message while updating the Creative Cloud desktop app: Creative Cloud desktop failed to update. (Error Code: 2)
- You may find yourself in a loop where each time you finish logging in you get the error: You've been signed out
- You may get the error: Account not available
How to resolve these errors
Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the Creative Cloud application
- Using the Creative Cloud Desktop App uninstall tool (download the uninstaller here), uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud apps on the machine, including the Desktop App.
- Download and run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, (instructions for the cleaner tool are here).
- Restart the machine.
- Reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop App (download the installer here).
