Body
This how-to article is for current MHC students, faculty, and staff that would like to use Adobe Creative Cloud applications on shared MHC-owned computers.
Overview
Students, faculty, and staff can access Adobe Creative Cloud applications on MHC lab computers and Circulation loaner laptops.
Find where Adobe Creative Cloud applications are available on campus
Log in with your MHC Account:
- Launch the Adobe application of your choice.
- On devices with the shared-device licensing, you'll encounter an error if you try to go to the Adobe Creative Cloud application first since users on these computers don't have access to manage applications.
- Enter "mtholyoke.edu" when prompted for a domain login.
- Select the small blue Continue button to be taken to the Blue and White MHC login screen and enter your MHC username [no @mtholyoke.edu] and password.
- If prompted, complete Duo verification
The free account associated with your MHC email address comes with 2GB of free storage. However, we recommend that you download and save any Adobe files (especially those related to coursework) in your MHC Google Drive or an external hard drive to ensure that you have a backup.
Gotchas & pitfalls
- Go directly to the Adobe application of your choice rather than starting from the Adobe Creative Cloud application. Computers with the shared-device licensing don't let users access the Adobe Creative Cloud application since it serves a management function. Any Adobe apps that are available on that computer have already been installed and should be listed in the computer's Applications folder.
- When you log in, be sure to avoid the social sign in buttons (Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook, etc) as using those can make it more challenging to access your account in the future
