LITS recommends using the Google Chrome web browser when using MHC Google accounts, Google Workspace for Education (including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, etc). Access MHC Google via your web browser

If you use using third-party applications or clients, such as Apple mail or Windows Mail/Outlook, iCal, etc to access your MHC Google Account, it can lead to unexpected results, including the risk of data loss, increased cybersecurity and phishing risk, and a degraded user experience.

While you can still choose to use third-party mail clients or other apps with your MHC Google account, doing so is unsupported and is done at your discretion.  

 

On mobile devices

LITS recommends using the official Google apps to access your MHC Google account (including the Gmail app, Google Calendar app, Google Drive app, etc)

If you use third-party apps, such as the mobile Apple mail client or Outlook app, to access your MHC Google account, it can lead to unexpected results, including the risk of data loss, increased cybersecurity and phishing risk, and a degraded user experience.
