How to scan to email

Overview

Below find instructions for scanning printed documents and sending the scanned files to yourself or others via email.

Steps

Get started

  1. Go to any departmental MFD (for faculty and staff) or public printer location (for students)

  2. To log in, tap and HOLD your MHC OneCard until you hear 3 beeps and your account opens up on the screen

  3. Choose Use Copier

  4. Choose Scan & Send

  5. Choose Send to Myself to set the destination to your MHC email and/or enter a different destination email address

Scan multi-page documents

  1. Put multi-page documents in the Document Feeder

  2. Press the GREEN Start button on the keypad

Scan single-page documents

  1. Lift the top of the printer

  2. Place your paper on the glass in the top right corner

  3. Close the printer

  4. Press the  GREEN Start button on the keypad

Combine multiple scans into one PDF

  1. Go to Options

  2. Toggle Job Build

  3. Repeat the instructions under Step 5 until you've scanned all the pages for that pdf

Finish and send the scan

  1. To finish and send the scan, choose send
