Access MHC's Moodle from an app on your phone!
Overview
You can access Moodle on your phone using the Open-LMS mobile app.
If you have specific feedback on the app we use here at MHC, we can funnel that feedback back to our vendor and would be happy to do so.
Where to find this
There are multiple Moodle apps out there, so be sure to get the right one. The supported version of the mobile app for MHC is called Open-LMS.
You can find the Open-LMS app in your phone's app store, and that will allow you to access MHC Moodle on your phone. We recommend that all mobile users check to make sure they have the correct version installed. Here are up-to-date links for the mobile app:
Where to start
Download the app, enter moodle.mtholyoke.edu as the organizational url, select your institutional logo, and log in.
Gotchas & pitfalls
Each of the Five Colleges handles their Moodle instance separately and a little bit differently, but if you're taking an MHC course you'll need to use this version of the app.
Keep in mind that you cannot access all of Moodle's features via mobile; the app is limited in its functionalities and its accessibility. We do not recommend that anyone use the mobile app for key activities like submitting assignments, but it's a fine way to read materials, comment on forum posts, etc.
