What is it?
JupyterHub is a web-based interactive computational environment for writing, executing and presenting code. The benefit of using this is that it does not require the developer to configure their machine which removes some of the barriers to entry.
Locally hosted JupyterHub servers run the latest ”TLJH” as of the time they’re created, and have 16 processors and 64 GB of RAM.
Please note that JupyterHub shutdown will happen in conjunction with the end of access to Moodle site, approximately 4 weeks after exams end. The exact date will be announced. Faculty members who need their Hub to exist longer than the published date, such as to resolve an incomplete for a student, must request the extension and provide a new target date.
Who can use it?
MHC faculty may request a Hub for a class or as an advisor to a student independent study.
How do I get it?
Request a JupyterHub from LITS for a class at least 4 weeks before the start of the semester using the "Request JupyterHub" button on this page.
Hours/Availability
JupyterHub environments will be created within 4 weeks of request, and shut down approximately 4 weeks after exams end.
Support is available during regular business hours when the College is open.
JupyterHub is supported under a "best effort" model, meaning that LITS will create a JupyterHub for a class, but for support other than the creation of the Hub and keeping it running, we advise users to connect with the MHC JupyterHub Community User Group.
