Getting started with MHC Microsoft 365

Overview

This article outlines the Microsoft account login and application installation process for MHC students and licensed MHC faculty and staff.

Microsoft Office apps can be installed on personally-owned computers.

 

Log into Microsoft 365 on the web

  1. Go to m365.cloud.microsoft 
  2. Select Sign in in the top right
  3. Enter your MHC email address and choose Next
  4. Enter your MHC Account password and choose Sign in
  5. If prompted, answer the "Stay signed in?" question
    • On your own device: Say "Yes" if you want
    • On a shared device: We recommend choosing "No"
  6. If prompted, complete Duo MFA
    1. Select "Approve with Cisco Duo"
    2. Complete Duo verification as usual

From there you can access your files and online versions of the Microsoft 365 apps.

 

Install desktop versions of Microsoft 365

  1. Go to m365.cloud.microsoft 
  2. If you're not already logged in, follow the instructions above to log in
  3. Select Install and more in the top right
  4. Select Microsoft 365 apps
  5. Select Install Office
  6. Save the installer to your downloads folder
  7. When it's finished downloading select the installer package to launch the installation wizard
  8. Follow the steps in the installation wizard to install the applications

 

Log into a Microsoft 365 desktop application

  1. Open the Microsoft application of your choice (ex. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  2. Select the home icon
  3. Select Sign in and complete the sign in process following the instructions above
