How to Install Read&Write for Google Chrome

Overview

Read&Write is literacy software with tools designed for reading, writing, study, and research support. It’s useful for students, faculty, and staff with additional language or literacy needs, or those who need limited screen-time.

Follow the instructions below to install Read&Write as a Google Chrome extension.  (Looking for instructions to download Read&Write for Mac or PC? Click here.)

Download Read&Write for Google Chrome 

1. Visit Read&Write for Google Chrome

 

2. Choose Add to Chrome

3. Choose Add extension

4. Once the extension has successfully downloaded, you should see a notification that Read&Write for Google Chrome has been added to Chrome. From here on out, you can choose the Read&Write icon from the top right corner of your Chrome window to access the app. Click the icon to sign in for the first time.

5. Choose Sign in with Google

6. Choose your MHC Google account (or select Use another account to add it).

7. Once logged in, choose Allow

8. Read&Write is now set up and ready for use! Choose the Read&Write icon from the top right corner of your Chrome window OR, if you see a tab like the one below, click it to expand the toolbar.
