Your MHC Account is your key to accessing the rich resources and powerful software tools available to the MHC community.

Students and staff associated with the Simmons West SILS (School of Information and Library Science) program at Mount Holyoke
What's included?
Standard access includes:
- Eduroam wireless internet
- Library services, including Discover advanced search, online journals, and library databases*
- Logging into classroom and lab computers
- The OneCard system for photo upload and fund deposit
- Printing (free in the Simmons West office in the Village Commons)
- Zoom
- Log in to the AskLITS portal (this website!)
*Mount Holyoke College interlibrary loan is restricted to Mount Holyoke College students, faculty and staff. Please use the Simmons Library interlibrary loan.
Account Life-cycle
Creation & first access
Simmons students will receive an account creation email with the information they need to access their MHC account 2 weeks before the first day of class.
Also an MHC Alum? In that case, there won't be another MHC Account created for you and you won't get an account creation email. Your existing MHC Account will be provided Simmons student access as outlined on this page. If needed, review our
MHC Account password reset instructions.
Deactivation
Account access ends when the semester is over unless the student is already enrolled in another Simmons course at MHC for the following summer.
Access restored if enrolled in additional courses
Account access is also restored in any future terms where the student is enrolled in a Simmons course at MHC, though the initial account creation email is not resent.
