How to check your campus voicemail from anywhere.
Overview
Use the instructions below to check your MHC voicemail from wherever you are!
From your campus telephone
On Avaya VOIP phones only (the ones with a digital screen)
You'll know that you have an unread voicemail because the red light on the top right corner of the phone will be lit up.
- Select the envelope button on the phone (to the bottom right of the central circular button)
- Enter your voicemail password
- Enter #
- Select Listen to view your messages or one of the names below that to view group mailbox messages
- New messages are in New
- Messages you've listened to are in Old
- Messages you've saved are in Saved
- Select the message you want to listen to
- Select Play

On all campus phones, including analog phones
- Dial *17
- When prompted for your extension, dial your extension then the # sign
- When prompted for your password, dial your password then the # sign
- Select option 2 to listen to your messages
From an external phone
To check your MHC voicemail from a non-MHC phone:
- Dial 413-538-2660
- Enter 1 to retrieve your messages
- When prompted for your extension, dial your extension then the # sign
- When prompted for your password, dial your password then the # sign
On the Avaya softphone application
You'll know that you have an unread voicemail because there will be a red shape on top of the voicemail icon.
- Log into the Avaya softphone application
- Select the voicemail symbol in the top right of the application window
- The symbol looks like two circles connected at the bottom via a horizontal line
- When prompted enter your extension and # sign
- Enter your voicemail password and # sign
- Enter 2
