What is it?
This includes all department-funded computer labs, computers for faculty research labs of any size (2+ computers), computers for running specialized lab equipment, and other research-based computer needs.
Requests for individual research computers and research computer labs go through a different process than other computer requests in order to accommodate the individual needs of the researcher.

LITS should be consulted to provide planning, pricing, support and technical information to individuals and departments using grant, endowed, departmental, or other special non-LITS funds to purchase computing equipment in order to ensure that purchases follow current College purchasing policies.

Initiate a consultation about an existing or future planned research computer / computer lab using the "Request research computer / lab consult" button on this page.
Hours/Availability
Consultation requests are reviewed during normal business hours when the College is open.
Once a course of action has been decided upon, the time line is subject to shipping and delivery times. Shipping times can delay our ability to prepare the computer for you by 2-12 weeks depending on the order.
