Software installation requests

What is it?

LITS provides software installation services to ensure you have the necessary tools to perform your work or academic tasks.
We will install software when:

  • The computer is MHC-owned (such as a lab, classroom, or office machine) and you are not the primary administrator of that machine
  • The software is not available through self-service options
  • The software is not currently provided by the college (subject to review and approval)
  • You need academic software installed on a personally-owned computer, provided that a license is available for use

 

Who can use it?

  • Faculty and staff who need additional software installed in lab or classroom computers
  • Staff who need additional software installed on shared office computers for which they are not administrators
  • Students who need additional software installed on loaner laptops borrowed from the Circulation Desk

 

How do I get it?

Use the "Request software install" button on this page to start a request.

 

Hours/Availability

Requests are processed during regular business hours when the College is open. Standard processing time is 2-3 business days.
