A tablet/iPad request initiates a consultation with the Asset Management team to discuss options and review policy.
Who can use it?
MHC faculty and staff
How do I get it?
Stage 1 - Consultation
A tablet/iPad can be requested by filling out the Tablet/iPad request form on this page. Once submitted, a member of the Computer Purchasing team will review the request and a notification will be sent to you to schedule a consultation appointment. The consultation is a crucial step in the tablet/iPad purchasing process as it allows our team to provide expert advice on device specifications suggestions, review the College’s tablet/iPad policy, and gather data on how technology is used across campus.
Stage 2 - Approval and Requisition
Following the consultation, Computer Purchasing will request a quote(s) from a vendor. This quote(s) will be uploaded to the request ticket for you to review and approve or reject. When a quote is approved, Computer Purchasing will submit the requisition in Workday. Following a series of approvals from Cost Center managers, a Purchase Order (PO) will be issued and the device will be ordered. When the device arrives, the Asset Management team will place an MHC Asset Tag on it and add the device to the College’s inventory database.
Stage 3 - Memorandum of Understanding
Once the device is in our inventory system, you will receive a notification to review and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which outlines the appropriate use and replacement plan of the device.
Stage 4 - Picking up the device
Then you will receive a notification that your new device is ready for pickup from the LITS Technology Help Desk.
Hours/Availability
Requests will be reviewed during regular business hours when the College is open.
Anything we have to order is subject to shipping and delivery time lines. Shipping times can delay our ability to prepare the device for you by 2-12 weeks depending on the order.
