An overview of how pages function within Canvas.
Pages In Canvas
According to Instructure, pages “store content and educational resources that are part of a course or group but don’t necessarily belong in an assignment.” Pages may contain text, images, media, links, and as a collaboration tool for course wikis. This is to say that pages are a versatile means for providing context and/or resources to participants. As an example, the customized home page included in MHC’s default template is a page. Instructors may designate a home page.
- To create a page, click the “Pages” link in the Course Navigation menu and select the blue “+Page” button in the top right-hand corner.

- Add a page title and content, including text, images, Kaltura recordings, links, etc. using the Rich Content Editor.

Optional additional settings beneath the Rich Content Editor may determine page editing abilities, a specific publishing date, and granular access and availability. Click the blue "Save" button in the bottom right-hand corner to create and/or save changes to a page.
