An overview of how to log into MHC's Canvas in the Canvas Teacher mobile app.
Logging Into the Canvas Teacher Mobile App
Once you have opened the Canvas Teacher application, you will be presented with a page that offers different ways to log in. You may choose to use the “Find my school” option, or you may prefer the QR Login.
Using the QR Login
This option will require you to have Canvas open on your computer and you will need to be logged in there.
1. Select QR Login on the app. The pop-up will reiterate the same instructions repeated here.
2. Select Next. The Canvas app will open your camera and instruct you to find a code to scan.
3. On your computer, navigate to the Account section, then select QR for Mobile Login.
4. A pop-up window will open in Canvas titled "Confirm QR code display.” Once you are ready, select Proceed.
5. Use your phone or other mobile device to scan the QR code on your computer screen.
6. Once your QR scan has completed, you will receive a popup notification that you are logging in. This may take a moment, so please be patient as the connection to your account is established.
This will complete the login process. You will not need to enter any additional information.
Using the “Find my school” Option
This option will require you to input text in a search bar in order to locate your institution. At this time, you will need to input the full website address for MHC’s Canvas. Search for the following:
mtholyoke.instructure.com
You will then be prompted to select your organization and enter your credentials in a similar fashion to that used for accessing Canvas on a computer.
