Create your MATLAB account, install the software, and get started.
Overview
Mount Holyoke College offers a campus-wide license to MATLAB which can be downloaded from the MATLAB portal and may be used by MHC faculty, staff and students.
You can install the new MATLAB licenses over any existing install you have. If you are an administrator on your computer, follow the instructions below to create an account and install the software. If you need this software to be installed on a College-owned computer where you're not an administrator, request support with the software install.
Where to start
- Go to the MHC MATLAB portal
- Select Sign in to Get Started under Download MATLAB.
- This will bring you to our MHC login page where you will log in with your MHC username (without the @mtholyoke.edu) and password.
- You will be asked to create a MathWorks Account or connect your existing one by logging in with your email address and existing account password.
- Select the download button for R2021a (or an older version if you need it)
- MATLAB will be downloaded to your Downloads folder. You can run the installer from there and follow the instructions.
- License type: select Individual
- You will see the toolboxes available (See list below). You can choose as many as you like.
- If asked which method you want to use when downloading, choose Login with Mathworks account
