Webcam recommendations

Overview

LITS does not supply MHC staff and faculty with webcams as they are considered an office supply; as such, departments are responsible for purchasing and receiving webcams. All MHC provisioned laptops are equipped with built-in webcams and do not require use of external webcams for virtual meetings. Desktop computers which are connected to a base model monitor do require the use of external webcams for virtual meetings. There are many options available when choosing an external webcam; this article outlines models recommended by LITS for use by MHC staff and faculty. All of these suggestions are available for department administrators to purchase from Amazon or B&H via punchout in Workday. Please note that prices and product availability are subject to change.
