Instructions for installing MFDs and other campus printers on MHC-owned computers assigned to faculty and staff.
Overview
Follow the instructions below to install a campus printer to your MHC-owned macOS or Windows computer. To print from a personal device, install Mobility Print.
In most cases you must be an administrator on the computer and you must be connected to the campus network to follow these instructions.
MacOS
Install in one click with the Self-Service application
- Open the Self-Service application
- Navigate down to Printers in the left-hand menu
- Find the printer you want to install
- Choose Install
Manual install
There are manual installation instructions printed and attached to each departmental MFD. Follow those instructions to manually install the printer of your choice.
Windows
- Select the Windows start button and type \\print.
- Choose Enter to run the command
- Search for your specific printer name (Example: LITS-Circulation-MFD)
- Double-click on your printer of choice to install the printer and driver from the MHC print server
- You are now connected to the printer, but we suggest you run a test print to ensure your PC can communicate with the connected printer
