Self-service options for resetting your MHC voicemail password.
Overview
Need to reset your MHC voicemail password? There are a few different ways to reset it yourself.
Users who have analog phones cannot reset their voicemail passwords on their own. Please submit a voicemail password reset request on the
Voicemail support service page to have LITS clear your voicemail password for you. From there you'll be able to follow the instructions in the
Set up voicemail on your campus telephone article.
In the Avaya IP Office user portal
Before you Start, you'll need:
- your MHC username
- your Avaya IP Office user portal password (not synced to your MHC Account password)
- to be connected to the MHC network either from on campus or via VPN

Log in with your
phone username (usually the same as your MHC username) and your
Avaya IP Office user portal password (the password you use to log into the
Avaya softphone application)
- On the left side menu, click on the down arrow next to the gear to access settings
- Choose the person icon to access your profile

On the Profile page, find Voicemail Code

Enter a new 6-digit+ voicemail password

Choose Save
On an Avaya VoIP phone
Before you Start, you'll need:
- your physical MHC Avaya VoIP phone
- your current MHC voicemail password

On your campus telephone select the envelope button

Enter your current MHC voicemail password

Select Passcode

Enter your current MHC voicemail password again

Enter a new voicemail password

Choose Save
If your voicemail hasn't been set up yet or your voicemail password has been cleared for some reason, you can follow the
voicemail setup instructions which will prompt you to set a voicemail password without needing to enter an existing voicemail password. You can submit a voicemail password reset request on the
Voicemail support service page to have LITS clear an existing voicemail password for you.
