Overview
This article outlines the purpose and specifications of base model accessories which are requested, procured, and deployed through LITS. For more information on funding sources and to request computer accessories, go to the Computer accessory request service page.
Please note: the accessories on this list have been thoroughly tested and approved by LITS staff for use with MHC computers. All other models or brands need to be cleared by LITS staff before use.
Accessory specifications
Base model monitor: Dell Pro P 24" Monitor - P2426H
- Purpose: to view an extended or duplicated display of an Apple or Dell laptop or to view the functions of a Dell desktop computer
- Features: adjustable stand (height, tilt, swivel, and pivot), anti-glare, low blue light, and flicker free
- Ports: HDMI x1, DisplayPort x1, USB-A downstream x2, USB-B upstream x1, and USB-C downstream x2 (power charging up to 15 W)
- Display: full HD, maximum resolution 1920 x 1080, refresh rate 120 Hz, pixel per inch (PPI) 93, aspect ratio 16:9
- No built-in camera or speaker - a soundbar is requestable on Desktop computer request forms, external accessories can be purchased through your department admin.

Dock-hub
- Purpose: to provide additional input and output options for Apple MacBooks and iMacs as well as to allow Dell laptops to connect to two external monitors. Dell desktops do not need to use a dock-hub. For MacBooks, this device supports one display out. For two external displays, an additional adapter (USB-C to HDMI) or a full-sized docking station are required.
- Features: USB-C pass through charging (100 W max), SD reader x1, micro SD reader x1
- Ports: 4K HDMI x2 (one @ 60Hz, one @ 30Hz), VGA x1 (1080p @ 60Hz), USB-C x1 (5 Gbps), USB-A x5 (three @ 5Gbps, two @ 480 Mbps), .35mm audio in/out, Ethernet port (1 Gbps)

Docking station (full-sized)
- Purpose: to allow Apple and Dell laptops to connect to up to two external monitors as well as provide additional input ports. Display drivers download required.
- Features: USB-C pass through charging (100 W max) and a power switch
- Ports: 4K HDMI x2 (60Hz), Display Port x2, USB-C x2 (10 Gbps), USB-A x4 (5Gbps), .35mm audio in/out, Ethernet port (1 Gbps)
