Body
If you would like to use a personal Google account and your MHC account on the same computer, you can use Google profiles to separate your browser history.
Overview
Use these instructions to add multiple Google accounts to your browser so you can access and switch between the accounts easily.
Option 1: Add an account in any browser
- Log into one of your Google accounts at mail.google.com
- Select your profile picture in the top right corner (it may appear as an initial or a profile photo that you've added)
- A small window should open; Select + Add Account at the bottom of the window
- You will be prompted to sign into another Google account
- Once you're signed into multiple accounts, you can toggle between them at any time by choosing the one you want on the screen that appears when you select your profile picture
Option 2: Create separate Chrome profiles
If you use the Chrome browser, you can choose to set up separate Chrome profiles for each account. This will allow you to access multiple Google accounts easily while keeping data like your bookmarks, passwords, browser history, and other settings separated from each other.
To set up separate Chrome profiles
- Open Google Chrome
- Select the profile picture in the top right corner of the browser
- If you're not already logged into Chrome, it may be a grey circle with a generic person icon in it ()
- Select Add and sign into the Google account you would like to add a Chrome profile for
- Choose Turn on Sync to have the profile remember your bookmarks, passwords, and other settings whenever you log into Chrome regardless of the device
- You can easily switch between your Chrome profiles by selecting your profile picture in the top right of the browser window (in line with the URL bar) and selecting the account you want to use
