This is an introductory resource guide for those just getting started with Google Gemini.

• To help you get started you might want to watch this Google Gemini: Get Started with Google’s AI Assistant.
• While it covers ChatGPT rather than Gemini, this course, Demystifying ChatGPT and Generative AI: What Every Professional Needs to Know offers helpful mental models and approaches to working with generative AI in general.  
• “Prompt engineering” is the process of crafting text inputs (prompts) to guide large language models like Gemini to produce desired outputs. Introduction to Prompt Engineering for Generative AI covers prompt engineering concepts applied to Gemini as well as other tools that you might find helpful.

Note that the speed with which AI tools are evolving means that courses like the ones above are often not fully up-to-date. However, these sessions should introduce you to key capabilities and concepts as a starting point.

How to open Gemini

To get started from within your MHC Google account, log in to MHC Google and select the Gemini app icon from your Google account. 

How do I allow Gemini to access my MHC Google data for use in chats? 

Use settings within Gemini to control whether Gemini can access content in your Google Docs, Email, etc.
