Campus email list information

Overview

MHC's Official Email Lists are involuntary, closed membership, moderated lists created by LITS. These lists are intended to provide a method for addressing official MHC announcements to targeted populations. Ex. LITS-alert@mtholyoke.edu, faculty-a@mtholyoke.edu, staff-l@mtholyoke.edu, etc.

The Office of Student Involvement requested that we no longer maintain an all students email list as they manage their student-wide communication out of Embark and Mailchimp.

While these lists are created by LITS and automatically updated by data in our central administrative systems, the lists are owned by other departments on campus. List owners can add additional people to the lists in an ad hoc way to be able to send to the list or receive list messages.

If you're interested in which departments and individuals own each list and which constituencies are automatically added to each list, review the table below.

If you are a list owner, please review our instructions on managing membership and sending permissions on these email lists
