What is it?
In addition to providing access to campus buildings, MHC OneCards also have debit functions. There are several "buckets" of money that are available to students via the OneCard.
Dining Dollars
- Students with a full meal plan receive $30 in Dining Dollars each semester. The funds are usually loaded on the first day of classes.
- Dining Dollars can ONLY be used towards meals (including purchases from vending machines and The Frances Perk Café).
- Eligible purchases will automatically use the pre-loaded Dining Dollars first. If these pre-loaded funds run out, future dining dollar eligible purchases will be charged to your MHCXpress account.
Previously, Dining Dollars could be used to pay for laundry, but as of Fall 2023 student laundry is free.
Printing money (LITS Lyra)
- Students are given $20 in free printing each semester. The funds are usually loaded on the first day of classes.
- Eligible purchases will automatically use the pre-loaded printing money first. If these pre-loaded funds run out, future printing purchases will be charged to your MHCXpress account.
MHCXpress account
Your OneCard has a debit function called the MHCXpress account that can be used to pay for the following:
- Prescriptions at the Health Center
- Off-campus shuttle tickets
- Beverage and snack vending
- Stamps and sending packages at Mount Holyoke College Mail Services
- Purchasing additional guest meals in the dining halls
- Textbooks at Odyssey Bookshop* and items at other participating Village Commons vendors
- Note: If you run out of dining dollars or dedicated printing money before the end of the semester, additional charges that would come from those pots will be charged to your MHCXpress account.
*Purchases at Odyssey Bookshop can also be charged to your student account using your MHC ID / OneCard.

Dining Dollars and LITS Lyra are loaded onto eligible student OneCards at the beginning of each semester, usually on the first day of classes.

Hours/Availability
OneCard funds are available to use 24/7. Refund requests are processed during regular business hours when the College is open.
