What is it?
LITS provides computers to MHC faculty and staff to support the academic, research, and administrative work of the College.
The procurement and replacement of classroom computers and those in public computer labs is fully managed within LITS and is not separately requestable.
How are computers funded?
All computers purchased with College funds — including LITS funds, grants and endowed, departmental, research or special funds — must be requested through LITS. They are considered College property and must be tagged and added to the College's computer inventory database maintained by LITS.
Depending on how a given computer will be used, it may be funded fully by LITS, partially LITS-funded, or require fully non-LITS funding (i.e. from grants, endowed funds, or departmental, research, or special funds).
Go to the service offering page for employee-assigned computers, shared office computers, or research/lab computers for more details on funding sources.
