Depending on your role and where you are in the phone replacement process, what needs to happen to ensure you can continue logging into your MHC Account will differ. Find your situation below for specific guidance.
Guidance for students, faculty, and staff
I can complete Duo verification via another method
If you have a secondary Duo verification method set up (like Touch ID or Windows Hello), then you should be able to access the Duo manage devices page and set up your new phone as one of your verification methods.
I cannot complete Duo verification via another method
If the only Duo verification method that you had set up previously was the Duo Mobile app and you no longer have access to your old phone, you will need to create an MHC Account access support ticket so that the LITS Technology Help Desk can send you an activation link.
Guidance for alums
My phone number has not changed
If your phone number isn't changing, then you don't need to do anything. Duo verification via SMS text message will continue to work on the new phone once it's set up to receive texts.
My phone number has changed
If you can still receive text messages at the old number, log into account.mtholyoke.edu, go to My Security, and add a device with your new phone number.
If you can no longer receive text messages at the old number, you will need to create an MHC Account access support ticket so that the LITS Technology Help Desk help you update your phone number for Duo verification.
