These steps can be completed in any order.

 Upload your OneCard ID photo

  • Students starting in the fall semester should upload photos by August 1. Students starting in the spring semester should upload photos by January 3.

  • For faculty/staff, this step can only be completed once our central administrative system lists you as an active employee. This usually occurs on your first day of work, but can sometimes lag by a day.

  • Contingent workers (affiliates) who won't be on campus may not receive a OneCard account. If you aren't sure whether you should have a OneCard, please contact the LITS Technology Help Desk.

  • Auditors are welcome to upload a photo, but can also just drop by the LITS Technology Help Desk in person with photo ID to have a photo taken when we print out your OneCard.

 Confirm your recovery email address

  • Students, faculty, staff, and contingent workers should do this right away to enable self-service account recovery.

  • Five College students can disregard this step. Your recovery email address is automatically set to your home institution email address (ex. email@smith.edu).

  • Auditors can disregard this step. Your recovery email address is automatically set to the email address that you provided to the Registrar's Office in your auditor application.

Share your Chosen Name and pronouns

  • Students, faculty, staff, contingent workers: Follow the instructions in the linked articles on the left to learn how to share your chosen name and pronouns and understand where they'll be displayed.

  • Auditors: MHC systems use whichever name you provided to the Registrar's Office.
